You can find many of the same fish that are available in the Cindersnap forest lakes, but the chance for trash is still higher on the farm. The Forest farm will be hard to optimize for beginners, however, so we recommend avoiding it on your first playthrough. That’s true, but I would never choose the beach farm because of the no sprinklers. So no matter how hard the hilltop farm could be I would still choose it over the beach farm. The Standard Farm is basically the “default” map in Stardew Valley.
Wilderness FarmMonsters spawn at night (scales with the player’s Combat level). Additional ponds and grass areas decrease the overall farming area. Forest FarmThe farm border is made of trees and foliage, just like in the Secret Woods.
However, the farm quarry takes up a lot of space, which is already limited. Chances are that you’ll just do your mining in the Mines, the Quarry, or Skull Cavern, especially since it takes a couple of days to regenerate. The last benefit is that this farm map is visually interesting. It’s the only farm type with hills, as opposed to being completely flat like the rest. This is one of the most beautiful of the maps in that specific sense.
The Four Corners map is a newer map layout that was added in Stardew Valley’s 1.4 update. This layout is, as the name would suggest, divided up into four different sections, each of which has a large, open area. These areas are connected by pathways that can be cleared with upgraded tools and a crossroad bikenames in the center, where the Greenhouse can also be found. The Standard Map is a good one to start out with when you’re new, but it’s also a great one for someone who likes clean lines and a nice, blank square with which to work. Stardew Valley is an open-ended country-life RPG with support for 1–4 players.
While farming is only a small piece of what you can do, it’s still definitely an important part of the game. In terms of numbers, one Copper Bar is normally worth just 60 gold, but a Blacksmith’s bar is worth 90. Gold, which is relatively easy to find and craft into a bar, is worth 375 gold per bar when you’re a Blacksmith. The one inconvenient constraint to earning a lot of money this way is the fact that smelting ore takes a while.
The Beach Farm map in Stardew Valley also looks really cool. There’s four quadrants, and Stardew Valley supports up to four players. So if you’re unsure which farm you should pick or want to start a game with family or friends, this is the map for you. However, the Wilderness Farm doesn’t offer much beyond that, and the monsters you kill on the Farm don’t even grant you any combat experience. If you really want monsters on your farm, just build a Slime Hutch and breed some slimes. Or, if you’re just starting a game, you can toggle on monster spawns in the advanced settings.
There’s also the annoying Gourmand Frog reminiscing about things that used to grow on the farm, insisting the player grow specific produce to appease them hanging out in a cave to the side. After his quest is over though, it’s a largely useless cave with a novelty hat that can be fished up and little other appeal. There are pros and cons to each farm layout in Stardew Valley. Some are beginner-friendly, some are harder to automate, & some are great for fishing. With Junimo Huts and Iridium Sprinklers to take some of the daily tasks away, it’s efficient and it is also probably fairly profitable.
